Run sales and put up signs, but then the stuff doesn’t ring up right, so if you want the sale price it’s a huge hassle and wait, not worth it. Store associate was alone on self checkout and was more than happy to have me not buy the item at all instead of doing whatever they would have needed to to get the correct price to ring up. I can understand when you’re by yourself and there are other customers. Was a hassle for both of us but I spend significant time
picking out the item, only to leave without it.

Today I made an online-order for a specific color wood stain from Lowe’s E Lancaster. They said the order would be delivered today without a shipping fee. I was very excited and surprised to have this convenience. The wrong item was delivered a stain that was not any color- simply clear. When i phoned customer service the representative told me there would be a return trip to retrieve the incorrect item and after that was received back in their warehouse it would be 3-10 days for a refund to hit my account. I asked what about the item I ordered and she said first this other item would have to be retrieved. She added this is our policy and it doesn’t matter who i spoke with that would be the process- even before I asked to speak with someone. And when i did ask to speak to the supervisor, she said i may be able to find someone…And so i called Lowe’s corporate number and the representative who answered the phone directed me to download an app to begin my return. I said I would not download an app and he hung up the phone. Awful experience, It’s unclear why Lowe’s has a customer service unit, they are not providing any service to consumer other than instructions on how to do it yourself.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
