  Purchased a southern motion sectional just over a year ago, have had not one but 4 things wrong since owning it. Seat crunches when you sit from day 1, corner wedge wood broken in frame, lever for foot snapped and now the final straw the fabric has a hole where the seem is pulling apart on the least used spot on the sectional. Seat was trimmed no charge, lever was $75 service call and wedge was replaced by factory same visit. Unfortunately it’s past the warranty, was told we were purchasing good quality, it’s the worst quality we have owned in over 20 years. Sent pictures of the latest asked for a manger to call me and they had the customer service lady relay the message it’s not covered and or repair main isn’t good at sewing but I could pay the $75 for him to come Look at it. I guess management was too busy to give me a call at my request and just goes to show how they are running a business. Hide behind the poor ladies filtering the complaints. I Don’t suggest listening to the sales folks that their furniture is well made. A discount store sells better quality. I feel like I need to put plastic over my sectional and tell everyone to sit on the floor. I can only imagine how it would hold up if I had children in the house. Would.not recommend looking at furniture at Smith Village, more expensive is NOT better.

  I purchased a whole Serta bedding ensemble for my 98 y.o. Dad in Sept. 2024. Spent $1700. By March 2025, the mattress had failed, just 6 months later. Laurie at Smith Village stated that due to stains on the mattress, the warranty is negated. My Dad is a prostate cancer survivor. My recommendation: stay far away from S.V. and Serta. Slippery "warranties" mean nothing and they will happily screw you over. They dishonored my 98 y.o. WW2 veteran Dad. What is this world coming to?

  I first contacted Smith Village via website chat. I was provided information on a specific chair. I later went into the store and worked with Travis, who was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Processing the sale and setting up the delivery with Dawn was quick and painless, as well. I will definitely shop there again for future furniture needs.
