Saturday May 2, 2026 we visited this location because on line it showed they carry vinyl trim to go with the flooring all their stores carry. This product we’ve been told by various other stores is a thing of the past. I approached an employee asking if he worked in flooring, his reply as he was still walking I might add , flooring yea. He stopped briefly as I showed him the name off the box of flooring we’d purchased, telling him I wanted the trim. We used to have that ( he’s walked away) over here, but they took it all away, I don’t know why. And he continued walking away, as I was saying your website says this location has in stock. No reply-continued walking. My partner and I found the finished wood type, matched our flooring (because I found it on my own in their store) As we headed up that isle my partner saw what we actually wanted! We put back what we had chosen - getting the product we came for, but had been told by a store dept employee “was taken away” . Yes these stores are in many cases for the DIY person. Yes in the end we did purchase the product we wanted and came for. No thanks to Dave the flooring dept employee that I’d think should have at least some knowledge of what they offer.

Poor Customer Service. This Elverson store itself is nice and they have an ok/ reasonable selection for certain items (although for hardware, I highly recommend a hardware store). My one star rating is due to the lack of effort of a young staff member to assist me. I asked him if there was another aisle for light sockets, as the Electrical parts aisle only had one type which wasn't the kind we needed. He quickly said, "if that's the only kind there, then that's all we carry, sorry". It seemed strange that Lowe's would only have one type, so I looked around more, and found another type of socket with additional accessories that my husband and I were looking for (brackets, etc.) in a small display between two Lighting aisles. Granted, these items were not in an expected location and should have been in the Electrical parts aisle, but the young man could have brought the Lowe's app up on his phone and used the parts locator to direct me or even just put a tiny bit of effort in and investigated like I did. Good Customer Service is so important.

I went in to buy a gift card for a party I was heading to last Sunday I went to checkout and paid for the card then the cashier looked at the receipt which stated the card did not activate. She read it out loud and knew something was wrong but instead of calling for a manager she proceeded to hand me the gift card anyways. I immediately read my receipt and it clearly stated the gift card was not activated I then had to tell the cashier to get the manager. after calling for one she told me it might take awhile because the manager is on lunch break. Someone else came over and called the company that makes the cards that person said the cards were discontinued and should have been pulled from the shelf. Finally a manager came over and refunded me. Turns out almost all of the cards they had for sale were discontinued and never pulled from the shelf. I ended up in there 45 minutes had to arrive late to my party of the stores negligence. Had I not read my receipt myself I would have ended up gifting an unusable card and been out my money.The cashier should lose her job for knowingly handing me the bad card it was very unethical.
