    I went to the store in Altoona to get 200 feet of quarter round trim. They only had 11 pics. In the store, and told me they had more outside. I waited 15 minutes for them to bring it inside, only for them to tell me they wouldn't unload it to get what I needed. Needless to say, I pushed my cart into an isle and walked out. Upon walking out the door, the man and woman were sitting in the office chit chatting at the lumber end of the building. Screw you Lowes! I will never return! I then went to Home Depot where I was greated at the door and they helped me with my filling my entire list of needs exceeding a $500.00 sale. Congratulations Home Depot, you gained a new customer!

    The store is "ok" but the Flock cameras outside recording my every move and my license plate pisses me off enough I refuse to go to Lowes except when absolutely needed.

    This is actually 0 STARS! PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST!I have never received as poor of customer service as I did tonight at the Altoona, Pennsylvania Lowe’s store. We were purchasing a storm door for my 87 year old father. We were trying to use 2 - $50 gift cards when Donna came to help. She scanned the first card and it took $50 off. The other gift card was older and Donna could not get the card to go through, so she reached behind the self checkout and turned the machine off. She said to go to register 11 and she would help us there. When she rang up the door and swiped the gift card it said “Insufficient Funds”. Donna then asked for help from someone else who did not help at all. After about 15 minutes waiting for the $50 to be returned to the gift card she said that I needed to call the 800 number. I explained that this was not our fault and she did call using my cell phone. By the time she got off the phone, I was told to call another 800 number to call for “Disputes”. At this time she contacted the manager on duty, Darrin. Once Darrin came up, the customer service(lol) went down hill. He said that there was nothing he could do for us! I asked if they could give us another gift card to fix the situation, and he said “NO”. My reply was”so you all make a $50 mistake and you will not make it right for the customer? His reply again was “NO.” I did not curse but I was getting upset since my parents are on a fixed income, but he stated that we needed to leave before it went any further. I asked for his last name and he would not give it to me. I let him know that I would tell everyone about their poor customer service and he just shrugged his shoulders. No sympathy for stealing $50. We left Lowe’s and went to Home Depot and purchased another storm door in the correct color(since Lowe’s did not carry the bronze) it was an Anderson and was $16 cheaper than the white door at Lowe’s and they had their bronze priced at $287 which would be special ordered and arrive in 2 weeks. Robin from Home Depot did a great job and put a smile on my face. I will shop at Lowe’s in my hometown, but no one from our family will ever step foot in the Altoona Lowe’s ever again. Just a footnote, I called the new 800 number once outside and that said that I would have to call back at 8:30am tomorrow.
