  This company makes everything difficult. Even paying your remaining balances. They deactivate your account and just send you to collections without any communication on their part. Better hope your debit card isn't declined due to possible fraud or this company will try to criminalize you for nonpayment all without your awareness. You used to have to consent to things in the past, this company ignores consent

  This company is a scam. My meter was broken by someone and so they stopped sending me any bills for three months. They ended up telling me that I have the responsibility to protect the meter, which by the way is a damn joke when I’m located in downtown Portland. The real issue is that after the three months they sent me a bill for over 1600 dollars when I average about 200 dollars a month at the most. When I asked how they came up with this number they can’t tell give me a reasonable explanation that makes any sense especially when the meter was broken. If it weren’t for the fact that I really don’t have any alternative companies to choose from, I would have terminated my service with NW Natural long ago.

  Absolutely will not answer the phone. Called as soon as they opened, “estimated 1 minute wait time”, waited for 30 minutes before giving up. Standard Portland business. Update- Excruciating number of irrelevant questions. Drivers license number and SSN? I need a utility, not a passport. Tech service is a joke. 8am-midnight? Unacceptable service.
