There was no locksmith van with the usual equipment that makes a copy of your keys or tools to open a lock. Just a guy with a drill who arrived in a jeep with Pennsylvania license plates and tried to charge me a sky rocketing 300 dollars just to drill a hole in my lock and toss it into garbage. When I told him, "There is no way I will be paying that price," he said, "Why did you call me then?" I want to open my lock and get a copy of a key. I can drill it for free myself

Came out and quoted me a price higher than the dealership for a factory key. Or for a less functional key I could pay $175 more than a fully functional generic from reputable locksmith. After I said no, they knocked 100 dollars off if I would pay cash. I said no and they tried to charge for a service call. I said no, he quickly dropped it and appologized. A different person called me back and offered me a lower price. I said no and explained I already talked to a locksmith and didn't feel comfortable with how it was handled, she appologized. Then yet another person called from a different number and offered me the same quote. I said no again, perhaps a little frustrated at this point. Every one of these people I talked to said they were with KeyMe Locksmiths when I asked. This is definitely predatory behavior.
