I recently bought a new recliner at the Whitby store. My sales representative Dav Dehal was/is professional, knowledgeable, kind and it was wonderful working with him. I find that Leon's Whitby store has friendly representatives without high pressure tactics. I always have a good experience there. Dav took the time to really listen, show me multiple options and even coordinated with another store when I needed to move the timeline up on my order. Thank you Whitby and Trenton Leon's furniture stores for the team work, much appreciated. Dav also followed up 2 days later to ensure everything went well with the pick up. This is old school customer service at its best! Thank you Dav, Whitby and Trenton stores for your continued great service. 😁

We had a very bad experience at a different Leons location a few years ago, and because of that, we didn’t step into any Leons store for almost three years. But recently, we visited the Whitby location, and our experience was completely different.
A big shoutout to Farida, our salesperson. She wasn’t pushy at all and never made us feel like she was forcing a sale. She was extremely helpful and even guided us with the delivery process, especially since we live in an upstairs townhome. She helped us find a couch that could be delivered right to our doorstep.
The delivery team was amazing as well—on time, great communication, and very professional.
As I mentioned, our previous experience at another location was terrible. The salesperson there was extremely pushy, tried to pressure us into buying something, and we couldn’t even get proper delivery inside our home. It felt like he was trying to scam us.
But Farida completely changed our view. She was respectful, professional, and genuinely helpful. We’re very happy with the service we received this time. Highly recommend her and the Whitby Leons location.

Avoid Leon’s Whitby at all costs.
This location has completely lost my family’s trust and business after how they handled a clear manufacturer defect with a KitchenAid range hood we purchased from them.
We bought a KitchenAid range hood on September 28, 2024 for our brand new pre-construction home early as it was on sale for a good price. The product sat sealed in its box until installation day, October 14, 2025 — just two weeks after the 1-year warranty date. When the installers unboxed it, they immediately noticed that the KitchenAid logo was installed upside-down and on the wrong side of the chimney cover — an obvious factory defect.
I called Leon’s Whitby, where we purchased the unit, expecting at least some support or escalation. Instead, the staff were dismissive, robotic, and completely unwilling to help. Their only response was:
“Cosmetic issues must be reported within 72 hours of delivery.”
When I told the rep no one ever mentioned this 72-hour window to us, her reply was, “It’s in the terms and conditions.” That says it all — zero empathy, zero accountability. I also asked about the extended warranty they push so aggressively, and she admitted it wouldn’t cover this either, since “cosmetic issues” are excluded. So both their standard and extended warranties are completely worthless. When I contacted KitchenAid/Whirlpool, they refused to help because it was “out of warranty,” even though it was clearly their mistake.
What makes this worse is how much business my family has given Leon’s over the years. We’ve purchased every major appliance you can think of — fridges, stoves, dishwashers, laundry machines, microwaves, and range hoods — for three different homes from Leon’s. Ten's of thousands of dollars spent, and this is how they treat loyal customers.
A good retailer would at least advocate for their customers with the manufacturer. Instead, Leon’s Whitby staff hid behind fine print, refused to lift a finger, and acted like I was the problem.
After this experience, I’ll never buy another thing from Leon’s or any of their warranty partners (TransGlobal/Whirlpool) again. They’ve permanently lost our family’s business. Furthermore the installers from TransGlobal scratched up my Range Hood which is a separate issue I am forced to dealing with. To make matters worse, the installers tracked mud and dirt across my hardwood floors and kitchen floors. They didn’t remove their shoes or wear protective covers — my kitchen floor was filthy when they left. As homeowners who don’t even walk in the house with shoes, this level of carelessness is unacceptable. If they brought in pebbles or scratched the hardwood, that’s permanent damage. No professional installer should ever enter a home like that.
If you’re considering Leon’s Whitby — don’t. Their so-called “customer service” disappears the moment your payment clears, and their warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. A company that hides behind policy instead of standing behind its customers doesn’t deserve your trust or your money.
