Great selection and prices. This is by far the best of the big hardware stores in the stockyards area. Item by item most products are a couple of bucks cheaper. Also Rona is a Canadian company, so you can shop here and not feel treasonous about it.

Dog friendly space and staff. Easy to navigate and staff are helpful when your hands are full.

I’ve visited the Home & Garden RONA at Toronto Stockyards, and it’s a convenient stop when you’re working on home projects or gardening. Parking is easy and the lot is close to the entrance, so carrying heavy items isn’t a struggle. Inside, the layout is straightforward — the garden section and seasonal displays are usually toward the front, and tools and hardware are organized cleanly along the main aisles. Staff have been friendly when I needed product advice, especially in the paint area. Prices are in the normal range for home improvement stores, and there are often decent sales if you check flyers. Checkout is usually smooth, especially if you’re not visiting during peak weekend hours.

I had the strangest retail experience here. I was buying a motion sensor light switch and a GFCI outlet. I found the switch but as I was attempting to find the correct GFCI, an employee came up behind me and did every game possible to interfere with my ability to compare the products, reading off random information from the wrong items, I made it clear that these items are not fungible, this is a serious purchase, please stop, she said she was helping me. At this point another employee came over and threatened me, so I went the other direction and decided to buy my switch and leave the outlet for another day. When I got to the front the registers had all been replaced with self-checkout, and when I asked for assistance the employee there directed me to a terminal she knew was broken. The receipt wouldn't print but all 3 employees saw me pay, the male that threatened me then did the craziest show of aggression ever by attempting to beat up the terminal with his fists. I used to shop here but I haven't been back in 3 years. There is a Home Depot and Canadian Tire across the street.

Worst experience ever. Couldn’t find one person on the floor to assist us with any of our inquiries. And when we finally got somebody, they didn’t know anything about anything. I don’t know how they stay in business. They must be making money in Quebec and losing it in Ontario.
