Went to the cashier to pay, price rang up without the discount. Explained the sale and signage to cashier who still refused. Took the sales associate to the aisle to show the sign, they still would not honour the price. Left the store. Never going back. Rona at Markham/Steeles honoured the discount.

I paid for four longitudinal cuts and clearly requested that the boards be cut into three equal sections. The first operator damaged the corner of one MDF sheet on the initial cut. When I calmly asked him to be more careful with the remaining cuts, he responded unprofessionally and refused to continue. After requesting a supervisor and waiting about 10 minutes, another employee was sent, but unfortunately he also lacked the necessary skill and cut all the sheets incorrectly. Due to time constraints, I had no choice but to leave with incorrectly cut materials. As a professional finish carpenter, this experience was very disappointing. Poor workmanship and unprofessional customer service reflect badly on RONA, especially in such a competitive market. Employing staff without adequate training in specialized services like material cutting puts the company’s reputation at risk. I would like to note that not all employees at this location were problematic. The staff member who assisted me with purchasing a brad nailer was professional and helpful, and I appreciate his service. I hope management takes this matter seriously and addresses the training and service issues at this location.

Can I rent a truck at this location?
Yes. We offer truck rentals at this location. To reserve a truck, please contact the store directly. Availability may be limited, especially during peak seasons, so we recommend calling ahead to confirm before visiting.
How do I know that truck/van is available for rental at RONA location?
If you see a truck or van parked at the store, that’s the first sign that it’s available for rent. To save yourself a trip, you can call the RONA store’s customer service desk ahead of time to confirm availability. Rentals are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
How do I qualify for the vehicle rental?
To rent a vehicle, you must:
> Be at least 21 years old
> Hold a valid full driver’s license (not a graduated license)
> Provide proof of insurance in your name
> Present a major credit card
NOTE: For the Province of Saskatchewan, the customer must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license.
Do RONA charge deposit for the truck/van rental?
A deposit of $500 for all rentals will be charged before we rent the van to a valid credit card. After inspection deposit will be refunded less the rental fee when customer return the van/truck.
How do I pay for the truck/van rental?
We accept all major credit cards.
Please note that cash, checks, gift cards, money orders, or prepaid visa cards are NOT accepted as payment for vehicle rentals. Store associates do not receive discounts on truck rentals and are charged the same rental fee as the customer.
Do RONA offer insurance for the vehicle rental?
At this time, RONA does not provide rental insurance. You’ll need to use your own liability insurance that covers non-owned vehicle rentals. Please make sure the proof of insurance is under the renter’s name.
What is your return policy for truck / van rental?
Returns are simple! When you bring back the vehicle, we’ll do a quick walkaround inspection and check the fuel gauge. As long as the vehicle is in the same condition and fuel level as when you rented it, you’re good to go.
