    I am really trying to support Canadian business, but Rona makes it so hard to. I purchased a ceiling fan, took it home only to realize that there were parts missing. We returned to Rona to get a new box but the customer service was really lacking. No apology for our time that was wasted. I understand things like this happen but a simple acknowledgement of the issue and apology would have gone a long way. Then I ordered a gazebo online for curbside pickup. When we arrived, I alerted them via the email they sent to me. No confirmation of receipt by the store, nothing for 15 minutes as we sat in the car and waited. I called the number provided on the sign and the department as per the sign (it's the wrong department extension on the sign by the way) and got passed around from department to department until the call just dropped. We went I side and was informed that they were having issues pulling our item because they needed a forklift. Again, a simple call to acknowledge we were there and that they were preparing our order would have sufficed. At other stores (Home Depot and Canadian tire) the curb side delivery is very efficient so this service level was frustrating. When they finally brought the order to the gate on a forklift, we had to give the driver and manager instructions on how to operate the forklift to get the item on our truck. I really want to support Canadian businesses but the service levels at Rona make it hard. Sadly I won't be shopping at Rona ever again, and unfortunately my dollars will go to support Home Dept, an American business. Do better.

    I’m trying to support a Canadian retailer and also a local retailer in my community. There was an item, on sale at a GTA based, bricks and mortar store so I did my shopping and asked about a price match on the 2 items in my cart. Apparently the price match policy is limited to stores within 25 km. I asked the customer service rep what the logic of that would be and his reply “that’s the policy”. So I left a cart with $800 worth of items because they wouldn’t match 2 items for a total of $50. I’ve now ordered them from the Toronto retailer - and they’ll be delivered to my door for less. It’s a huge retail space with almost nobody in it - I think maybe a customer service attitude other than “that’s policy” is advisable. EDIT: Yes, communicating the policy in a better manner would have helped, but a manager or even the person who responded to this review explaining the logic of the policy would be even better. Your largest competitor Home Depot policy is "If you find a current, lower, advertised price on an identical, new, in-stock item from a local Canadian retail store or website, or from a Canadian online-only retailer’s website" they will match the price. For a bricks and mortar retailer with huge square footage you are literally driving your customers to online retailers or Home Depot.

    Staff are helpful, but a little slower paced than competitors. They seem to be very well stocked for items that I'm looking for, and can't find elsewhere.

    Will never return to this place. My wife called to inquire about the kids craft. They were very rude. Said that's not there department. When we arrived to register they said they would be over in a minute to help and explain. They helped everyone that came after us first. Will never go back!!!

    The return policy is as bad as Canadian Tire. I bought a $250 dethatcher used it once and found that it was too small and hard to use. If you use the product it can't be returned no matter what the problem is. This is just unfair. I won't be buying anything else at this store. What a rip off!.
