    I spent close to $5,000 at RONA purchasing two EGO 2-stage snowblowers and a total of eight 10Ah batteries. Like any responsible buyer, I registered everything with EGO Power+ using the receipts provided, and my warranty was confirmed for 5 years. At the time, I had zero reason to question the receipt format. EGO reviewed what I uploaded and approved the registration — so naturally, I assumed everything was in order. Now, two years later, two of the batteries have failed — and EGO has confirmed they are defective. These batteries cost roughly $650 each, so this is not a minor issue. Here’s where everything breaks down: EGO is now requiring an itemized receipt to process the warranty. The only receipt RONA provided was a general (non-itemized) one — which EGO already accepted at the time of registration. I relied on that approval in good faith, and now I’m being told it’s not sufficient. I’ve contacted RONA head office and the Oakville store over 20 times trying to obtain the proper receipt. I’ve been told they are required to keep records for 4 years — yet no one can locate mine. The store tells me to call head office, head office sends me back to the store. No resolution, no accountability. At the same time, EGO is refusing to proceed without documentation they previously approved. Result: I’m being forced to pay out of pocket for defective products that are clearly under warranty. No alternative solutions have been offered. I’ve simply been told: “It’s not in EGO’s hands” “RONA doesn’t have the receipts” That’s it. So after spending close to $5,000, both companies have effectively walked away from the problem. This isn’t just frustrating — it’s a complete breakdown in customer support and record-keeping. I did everything right as a customer, and I’m the one paying the price for failures on both sides. If this is how large purchases are handled, customers should seriously reconsider where they spend their money. And frankly, if RONA can’t produce purchase records they claim to retain, that raises bigger questions. Good luck if they ever get audited.

    Had a terrible experience at Rona Oakville today. Tried to make a return but was told they are 'privately owned' and don't work with the main Rona company. Why use the Rona sign and branding if you don't follow their policies? A total waste of time and a long drive for nothing. Very misleading!

    I've visited this location a few times based on its close proximity to my workplace. I've been very happy with the service I've received, and will be returning many more times! I'd like to shout out Blair & Glen who helped me come up with some creative and economical solutions regarding some home updates. I personally enjoy the experience of shopping in a smaller, local location versus the extremely large stores where you can never find anyone to help you. Also, thank you to the ladies at the front who are also super helpful and friendly.

    RONA Oakville has a good selection of products and the store is generally well organized, which makes it fairly easy to find what you’re looking for. The location is convenient and I’ve been able to get a lot of basic renovation and home improvement items here without much trouble. That said, the service can be a bit hit or miss depending on the day. Sometimes it’s easy to find help, but other times it’s difficult to track someone down when you have a question. Overall it’s a decent store with solid inventory, but the customer service experience could be more consistent.

    WARNING! This is not a real RONA and they shouldn't affiliate it with RONA in any way. It's just a local store that wants more customers by making their logo look like RONA. They don't even accept your VIP pro account and have no access to it. I bought two weather strip rolls from this location and used only one. When I went to a Real RONA by my house, I was told that this is not a receipt from a RONA store. They photocopied my receipt for their investigation, and I was told to go to the place where I bought it from to do a return. I'm not spending $40 in gas plus 2 hours of my time to go there. Stay away from this place or use it on your own risk!
