These two men were much better than the last team of 3. They had a plan, wore 'booties' so that mud and water weren't tracked through my house, and maneuvered around my hairpin turn without damaging anything. (The other team damaged my son's bedroom door, which I only discovered after submitting my review.) They even gave me 10 minutes notice vs 30 seconds previously. I took stars off because I had to call the store to find out what time of day they were coming the afternoon prior, which is a fault with the system. Notification by 5:00 p.m. the day prior is not useful; I was caught in a bind trying to make an unexpected, and necessary, appointment. It would be more customer-friendly if the delivery could be specified as morning or afternoon at the time of purchase.

Extremely poor experience at The Brick (Newmarket). We ordered furniture worth close to 5K and were very clearly told by both the sales rep (Sanaz) and the operations manager (Joan) that the delivery or installation team (extra fees) would remove all empty boxes after setup. Neither team did this, and we were left with all the packaging.
Since then, customer service has been unhelpful and appears unfamiliar with their own processes. To make matters worse, some items arrived damaged, and we are still waiting to hear back on how to return or resolve those issues.
Overall, this has been a very frustrating experience due to poor communication, lack of follow-through, and inadequate customer support. NEVER AGAIN!

Our original delivery was aborted by the driver due to weather and road conditions near our neighbourhood. Understandable. However, we then needed to contact the store to rebook- no automatic rebooking AND they tried to charge us $100 rebooking charge, making it felt as though it was OUR fault for not telling the driver that the roads were bad. Seems that we were supposed to be aware of the size of the truck and how much room is needed to navigate turns- ridiculous.
We were able to have the charge waived as we refused to pay with a threat that if the delivery didn’t work out, it would be a ‘one time waive’ only.
The delivery itself was great, efficient and professional- the booking and rebooking customer service needs improvement.

Husband and myself just visited with our young daughter to browse for couches as we are moving in 2 weeks time. From the moment we entered there was a female employee who followed us around the store until we left. I don’t mind an employee suggesting items or introducing themselves but she trailed behind us very close the WHOLE time. I walked to the back to take my toddler to the bathroom, she followed me there as well as stood around the corner to wait for us. My husband was outside the bathroom and told me she kept peeking around the corner while I was in the bathroom. We found this to be extremely odd behaviour and disrespectful. Not only did she not offer anything she just followed and made us feel almost unwelcome or un trustworthy? Whatever the case, it made us leave the store and we will look elsewhere where we have some space to discuss and browse without someone breathing down our back. Unfortunately did catch her name.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an experience I had today at The Brick store in Newmarket.
I visited the store at approximately 2:30 PM this afternoon and was initially assisted by a salesperson named Daniel (I apologize if the name is not exact). During our discussion, I had some questions regarding delivery charges, and the salesperson approached the store manager for clarification.
When the manager arrived, Kaur (Kuru) he displayed a very poor attitude and did not introduce himself. I asked why I was being charged $89.99 for local delivery, as I had just checked The Brick’s website, which showed free local delivery. When I showed this information to the manager, he responded that the offer was “not today” it’s 2 days ago we can do it today and then he called me a liar.
I was extremely shocked upset by this interaction and felt disrespected. Being called a liar by a store manager is highly unprofessional, rude, and unacceptable. As a customer who has been shopping with The Brick for the past three years, I did not expect to be treated this way.
Due to this experience, I left the store feeling embarrassed and disappointed. I hope this matter will be taken seriously, as customer service and respectful communication are essential, especially from management.
