- MNMax NDec 9, 20251.0The pricing at Self-Safe Storage is ridiculous. They raise rates twice a year for no reason, even when the lot is half empty, just to squeeze more money from existing clients. Loyalty? Forget it — new clients get deals, existing clients get ignored. I tried to work with Tina, the regional manager, to lock in the current rate for a full year, like I had with previous managers for five years. She told me that the previous yearly deal was just a “bonus” for me, and now that she’s regional manager, it’s take it or leave it: either pay the upcoming increases or find another place, even if you pay for the entire year. No flexibility, no consideration — she doesn’t care about existing clients. Winter is awful here. They plow between the trucks and leave your vehicle stuck on ice, forcing you to shovel yourself out. Security is a joke too. They advertise gates and cameras, but the lot has no cameras, so if something happens to your truck or trailer, the only way to know is if another client happens to see it and calls you. Tina is also rude and mean, constantly interrupting you like your concerns don’t matter. Between the unfair pricing, useless security, and her attitude, this place is a complete nightmare.
