Went shopping at this location. I required electrical devices and hardware. When enquiring about both departments the associate did his best to accommodate.
I realized the associate was a co-op student, not paid looking after two departments.
My visit was a complete waste of time, not the the co op 's problem more management attempting to save wages by putting responsibility onto a co-op student. I will never shop at Rona in the future, I wouldn't by surprised if Rona files for bankruptcy in the near future.
Further to your reply. You are management, this store is a complete disaster!

Googled our closest store (east gwillimbury) and clicked on the website. We are searching for big appliances as we are just bought our first home in the area and just wanted to browse and compare brands at our own leisure. As I clicked on the first fridge, I was given this message (picture included). I can't click on any product, it keeps giving me the same error message. I haven't done anything suspicious on my phone or while browsing this site. As a first time, trying to be buyer at Rona.. this experience has left me with concern and doubts, wondering if issues are common with this company and has discouraged me from wanting to put my time into buying from here. Just thought I'd share how discouraging my new experience with this company has started and why my local local won't be receiving my business.

I have only been to Rona twice, and both visits were incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of time.
The first time, there was absolutely no one available to help. We spent at least an hour trying to make a decision on what to buy because we had questions and could not find a single employee anywhere in the area. For a store that sells renovation products, that is unacceptable. Customers often need guidance before making purchases, and there was none.
The second visit was no better. We went to the tile section and once again there was nobody around to answer questions. We then moved to the bathroom section and finally found someone, only to be told the employee responsible for that area was on lunch. I asked if another employee could help bring an item down from the shelf and open the box so we could actually see what was inside. There was none on display. We waited 20 minutes, and no one came.
When I finally went to find the employee again, I was told she had informed other employees, but they were busy. That is not customer service. If no one is available, communicate that instead of leaving customers standing around waiting and wondering if they’ve been forgotten. In the end, I had to ask her to scan the product and pull it up on the computer because my phone does not load properly in the store. I essentially had to create my own customer service experience just to get basic information.
What makes it even worse is that there seem to be more Roger’s employees walking around in the store than Rona employees. Meanwhile, in Rona, you can barely find anyone when you actually need help. That says a lot.
At this point, it seems Rona is more focused on having products on shelves than having staff available to help customers actually buy them. If customers are expected to figure everything out on their own, wait endlessly, and chase down employees for the bare minimum, there is no reason to shop here instead of going somewhere else.
After two disappointing visits, I can confidently say the customer service at this location is poor, understaffed, and badly managed. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

How do I qualify for the vehicle rental?
To rent a vehicle, you must:
> Be at least 21 years old
> Hold a valid full driver’s license (not a graduated license)
> Provide proof of insurance in your name

NOTE: For the Province of Saskatchewan, the customer must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license.
Do RONA+ charge deposit for the truck/van rental?
A deposit of $500 for all rentals will be charged before we rent the van to a valid credit card. After inspection deposit will be refunded less the rental fee when customer return the van/truck.
How do I pay for the truck/van rental?
We accept all major credit cards.
Please note that cash, checks, gift cards, money orders, or prepaid visa cards are NOT accepted as payment for vehicle rentals. Store associates do not receive discounts on truck rentals and are charged the same rental fee as the customer.
Do RONA offer insurance for the vehicle rental?
At this time, RONA+ does not provide rental insurance. You’ll need to use your own liability insurance that covers non-owned vehicle rentals. Please make sure the proof of insurance is under the renter’s name.

Returns are simple! When you bring back the vehicle, we’ll do a quick walkaround inspection and check the fuel gauge. As long as the vehicle is in the same condition and fuel level as when you rented it, you’re good to go.
