RONA+ – Disappointing selection and zero info on Black Friday deals Went to my local RONA+ store in the lead-up to Black Friday, hoping for some solid deals on tools and home reno stuff. Big mistake. The selection is shockingly weak – shelves half-empty in key sections like power tools, paint, and lumber. If you’re looking for basics, fine, but anything specific? Good luck; they had maybe 2-3 options where I’d expect 10+. Even worse: absolutely no communication about discounts or promotions. No signage, no flyers at the entrance, staff had no clue what was on sale (one guy just shrugged and said “check the app maybe?”). In the week before Black Friday? Come on, that’s amateur hour. Felt like walking into a ghost town of a store that forgot it’s the biggest shopping weekend of the year. I’ll stick to Home Depot or online from now on. RONA+, step up your game or lose more customers like me. Avoid unless you’re desperate.

    This is only my PRELIMINARY evaluation and review of the major bathroom project (replace surround walls and bath tub + toilet) that Rona just completed (11/14/25) in my home (all materials purchased from Rona with Rona contractor installation work). A bit more time (hopefully still within warranty period) is needed to realize the quality of both the materials used and the installation work done before I can do a full evaluation. My initial contact with Rona (Pro Desk) to discuss the project and obtain a quote took awhile and was a bit frustrating. It seemed the staff at the Pro Desk at the time, although eager to help, was new, and unfamiliar with the process and who to direct me to. But once I was finally connected with the Installation sales specialist (Marzy) it was a fairly smooth experience. She was very attentive, patient, helpful and focused on my needs. I have to underscore her dedication and excellent customer-service orientation, assisted by John, another Rona specialist, in dealing with our specific needs, budget and timeline. The Rona appointed professional installer, Vesso, did an impressive job completing the project in 3 days. See photos of completed work. So far we're extremely pleased dealing with Rona on this project. Will update at a much later date to report how well Rona warranty holds.

    I was able to find some Canadian made snow shovels which was my goal. RONA please continue to offer Canadian made products to support our own industries and workers!

    Went here for some trim, more expensive than home depot. Got to the check out and the trim I had didn’t have a skew. The lady at the check out made me walk all the way across the entire store to get a skew. Less than impressed. No one here seems to care after the switched from Lowes. Will not be back.

    Hello, my name is Barbara Morales, and I'd like to highlight two Rona employees in East Gwillimbury for their attention and dedication throughout the entire process of ordering my new kitchen. Although I want to be completely honest, things didn't go as planned. After I made my full payment for my new kitchen, I received a call informing me that they didn't have some of the pieces in stock and that I would have to look for them at another Rona store. It was a huge disappointment because you expect to receive excellent service from beginning to end. However, I was fortunate enough to meet Marisol, a manager with strong principles, extensive knowledge, and a very respectful demeanor. Her customer service and dedication are more than 100%, and the way she acts and makes decisions is incredible. Marisol truly deserves her position, and I believe that with her expertise, she should be given an opportunity to grow within the company. I would also like to mention Marzi, another manager who is knowledgeable and very professional in her work. She took part in my situation and perfectly understood my concern. Thank you, Marisol and Marzi, for being there for me. I hope that if any manager sees this comment, they will go directly to Marisol so she can better explain my situation and prevent it from happening again with another client.I hope someone see it and recognize those 2 amazing managers. Thank you again Marisol and Marzi , If I go again to shop there is because of you guys.
