    JP was the most patient, and trustworthy salesperson we have ever dealt with. We are a family with young kids, so we made it known we are shopping all around Barrie to compare prices and delivery. We were not approached by anyone in any other furniture store in Barrie, assuming because we are a younger family, no one takes us seriously. JP saw through our high energy toddler, made arrangements to meet with us when we could find a babysitter, and followed through with all of his promises. We couldn’t recommend him enough. Delivery guys were polite and got the job done quickly as well.

    We got our range delivered on Sunday, the oven racks were missing as well as the manual. I had called the delivery person back to make sure it was not left in the box by accident, he claimed it wasn’t. I had to wait until today to call. Called this morning and was told I’d get a call back… no call. So I called back in the afternoon and asked whether they “looked into it” as they put it before. The person over the phone states they have the manual in the store, but I’d have to go and pick it up and said with the oven rack we would have to wait for it to be sent to their location as it would be shipped from their main warehouse in Mississauga. I do not live in Barrie and it would be out of my way. I was pretty upset seeing as my mom had just spent over $3k with them (she had also purchased a section, which we had to rent our own truck to deliver to our house since they could not deliver to us…). I asked whether they could have it delivered to us seeing as this was THEIR issue… they said no! I asked if we would get some sort of compensation as this is now a HUGE inconvenience for me! I asked to speak with the manager who was NO help and basically sounded like she did not care and said it’s out of her hands. No compassion at all worst attitude for someone who works customer service! I have a newborn baby, as well as 2 other kids and have to drive 40 mins to pick up the missing products THEY DIDN’T DELIVER!! And then 40 mins back! Not to mention the crazy gas prices!!! They told me they will look into it… At this point my mom doesn’t even want the range now as she is upset with all this… but they do not do refunds.. So it’s safe to say out of all the products we have purchased with them… we will no longer be shopping at The Brick!

    We purchased a love seat... Which was fine and still good today... But they sold us a warranty stating that if we never did use the warranty we could put that money towards something else... Which sounded okay... We never did use the warranty so we're now here to get that something else at the cost of the warranty. They're now telling us it can only go towards a $400 item or more. They failed to tell us this little detail when we purchased the warrant. That's false advertising. We never would have gotten the extended warranty if we had known this detail. So to update, the brick did reach out to us and stated that the warranty clause was stated online.....my response to them: Clearly not from the service sales representative. He failed to provide this information. That's false advertising. Negating to disclose all information is also a form of lying. Who looks online while at the store when speaking with personnel. What happened to trust in your employees to disclose all relevant information. We've purchased many times from the Brick. We will start bringing our sales to competitors moving forward.

    I had an outstanding experience with The Brick – Barrie location, and I want to especially recognize Derek for his exceptional service. We had an issue with a missing part, and Derek went above and beyond to resolve it. He followed up on the situation for over two days, made multiple calls to ensure everything was handled properly, and even after we received the part, he personally reached out again to confirm that everything was completed and we were satisfied. This level of dedication and care is rare. Having a manager like Derek is truly something to be proud of . it reflects directly on the strength of the brand. It shows how much The Brick values its customers and builds a real sense of trust and reliability. Thank you again, Derek, for your professionalism and commitment. It made a big difference.

    We have had a very poor experience with this Barrie Brick location. We visited the physical store to check out Black Friday sales and had a very difficult time ordering a Scott Living modular sectional. Our sales rep Long was very friendly and accomadating but configuring the modular sectional and getting the order in was painful! He was clear at the time that the couch we wanted would have to be ordered and to not expect delivery until the new year. Fast forward to February 2026 and I get a call from Long inviting us to come use store credit that is expiring. We have not heard any updates on the delivery of our couch, so we decide to go as a family. Show the kids the demo couch at the store and maybe use the store credit to buy something. We decided on a pillow and some power bars to use up our credit and it's only during this time that someone from the customer service team discovers that the pieces we need actually ARE IN STOCK and the couch can be delivered. Who knows how long we would have waited had we not gone into the store? Strike one! We arrange for a delivery date and the movers could not have been more helpful and nice. I unbox and unwrap all the pieces of the modular sectional only to find out that the couch cannot be configured in the way that we wanted. We could not have been more clear about what we wanted and how we wanted it to go together. When I called the store to inform them of the issue, I was not happy at all with the level of customer service. It took several days for Long to get back to me. When he did he was friendly but not helpful or contrite. I went out of my way to very clearly identify the issue, provide documentation (written and photo), and provide a very easy solution. Instead of sending me the power adaptor that is needed to configure the sectional we ordered, Long in consultation with his manager, said this had to go through warranty service. Strike two! I have now been waiting to get a technician appointment with a third party company - Belaty - since February 24th. I have called Belaty and The Brick on multiple occassions now to follow up and still I don't have a service appointment or the couch we ordered. Strike three! This has been one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had with a major purchase. I am in sales and I would never treat a customer this way. I gave two stars because the couch is very nice and we will love it once we finally get the missing power connector. Also, most of the customer service people I have spoken to have been very nice on the phone. I do appreciate the effort. If you're in the market for furniture or a major appliance, do yourself a favour and go someplace else!
