While the facility initially seemed like a good fit due to its location and competitive pricing, our time there has been marked by frustration — especially around pricing and maintenance. Shortly after moving in, we noticed water leakage during rainstorms. The store manager was responsive and helped us relocate to another unit, which we appreciated. However, even in the new unit, we continued to see signs of moisture during rainy weather. Since we’re often out of town and unable to monitor the unit closely, it’s been difficult to determine the extent of the issue. Despite these concerns, we stayed because relocating everything again would be a major hassle. The most disappointing aspect has been the pricing. Over the course of our rental, the monthly rate has increased three times — now nearly triple what we originally agreed to. These hikes felt excessive and poorly communicated, leaving us scrambling to understand the sudden changes. It’s hard not to feel taken advantage of when the cost rises so sharply without clear justification. We’re currently planning to cancel our unit within the next two weeks. For anyone considering Extra Space Storage, I strongly recommend reviewing the contract terms carefully and asking about future rate adjustments before signing. While the facility may meet basic needs, the unpredictable pricing and lack of transparency have made this a regrettable experience.Chris
