I went to the Pro counter and at first the interaction was professional. The associate explained the item was on clearance and might not be able to be ordered and said she would check. When I mentioned that it also wouldn’t let me order it online, her attitude immediately changed. She flipped her monitor around and spoke to me in a rude, annoyed, and hostile tone, as if I was wasting her time. Even as I decided to walk away, she continued to act hostile, and her “sorry about that” came across as forced and sarcastic rather than sincere. There was no reason for the behavior. I left and went to Home Depot instead. As a veteran and a customer who spends a significant amount of money at Lowe’s, this experience was very disappointing and unacceptable.
