Jared was my service professional and he was excellent! He texted me when he was on his way, which I appreciate very much, and installed my new Chimney Cap really quick and without incident. He even went above and beyond and changed out my second story flood lights for me. I didn't have a ladder high enough to get them. Thanks jared!

The Hilliard Ohio Historical Society had Whempys Chimney Services come to our Historical Village to inspect and clean three wood-burning stoves and one fireplace. We were impressed with their thoroughness, professionalism and friendliness. WE would use them again.

We have used Whempy's for several years. Their customer service and the techs. who have been sent out to clean and maintain our fireplace and chimney have been professional and efficient. Our latest tech., Patrick, maintained their reputation by being friendly, efficient and maintained a clean work space at all times and was on time. We appreciated the reminder text that he was on his way. We highly recommend Whempy"s Chimney Service.

Frequently Asked Questions About Whempys Chimney Services
Why should I have my chimney inspected?
The National Fire Protection Association recommends annual inspections of chimneys, fireplaces, and vents. This ensures they are sound, free from deposits, and have correct clearances. Regular inspections allow for timely cleaning, maintenance, and repairs. Even unused fireplaces can accumulate nesting material from small animals and birds, potentially causing issues.
How often should I have my fireplace cleaned?
According to the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA), your chimney should be cleaned when there's 1/8 inch of sooty buildup inside. If any glaze is visible in the flue, cleaning is necessary even with less buildup. Accumulated soot and creosote can fuel a chimney fire, potentially damaging the chimney and spreading to your home.
What is creosote?
Creosote is a highly combustible, corrosive, and sticky substance. It forms when volatile gases, produced by burning wood or coal tar, combine and condense at temperatures below 250F.
What if I am not satisfied with Whempys Chimney Services?
