- JWjohn Wedd2 days ago1.0I had a really frustrating experience trying to resolve a simple return. I purchased two 10-foot plastic trench drains and a connector on October 23 for a concrete job that ended up changing, so the materials were never installed and are still brand new. I first spent over 20 minutes at the customer service desk in the store trying to get help. When that went nowhere, I called the customer service 800 number and spent another 45 minutes on the phone. After that, I’ve now also been chatting through the app for over 30 minutes trying to get someone to help resolve the issue. At this point I’ve spent well over an hour and a half trying to get assistance and still don’t have a solution. I understand stores have policies, but when a customer is trying to return unused materials and is even willing to accept store credit, you would think someone would be willing to help find a reasonable solution instead of sending them in circles between the store, the phone line, and the app. Very disappointing experience.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order.
