Family-owned and operated, C&S Tree Service & Recycling Center in Springfield, OH, has been growing since Clyde Suttles started the business 42 years ago. Clyde's father, Donald, and longtime friend, Floyd Lambert, started trimming trees as a side job, and all of a sudden, they got too busy. "Word of mouth is what's done it for us," said Suttles, who began helping his dad and then made a business out of it. I had overlooked storm damage causing a 40 foot pine to partially uproot and lean over my electric service drop. C&S answered phone on a Saturday evening, had two technicians arrive within 30 minutes, and roped and braced the tree to protect from the expected winds on Sunday. Dropped and cut up the tree first thing Monday morning exactly as promised and as requested. Probably saved two other trees that were in harms way. This was my fourth use of C&S, their concern for emergency service and honesty about what services are actually necessary will keep me a repeat customer.
