The keys are pretty crappy, they make better lock rakes than they do actual keys. The 16 year old behind the desk with a key matching machine is leaps and bounds better than this thing.

This was my first time using an interactive kiosk to get a key duplicated. My experience went well as far as the interaction with your kiosk is concerned. Your instructions are clear and easily understood. The duplicated key cut on the other hand, was very rough and left rough edges after the process was completed. When I tried it in my door at home, it would be very rough going in the key hole and coming out of the key hole, I would have to jiggle the key as it was going in and push aggressively at the sametime and try several times bcuz it wouldn't always go into the key hole all the way before getting stuck. It would get caught on the burrs left by the key cutting machine and I would have to push it back in the key hole as far as I could and pull aggressively to get it out of the key hole. There were times it took up to 5 min to retrieve my key from the key hole. Very frustrating! I tried using lock lubrication, but to no avail. My frustration was beginning to grow when my buddy who has an electric wire wheel suggested I bring my key over and run it on his wire wheel to beburr and smooth the edges of the key. I took his advice and it eliminated my problem. Not sure why the kiosk wouldn't include that step in the key duplication process, it is a very necessary step. There were a couple of times, I wasn't sure if I was gonna be able to retrieve my new key from the key hole, and had to use pliers to remove it. Overall understanding and using the kiosk it self was good, but with the deburring step left out of the finishing process, the end product created continued frustrstion until my buddy suggested using his electric wire wheel to deburr the key. So I thought the price for 1 key was high and the continued frustration after the fact for several weeks was making me regret my decision. Had the deburring step been included in the finishing process, I think it would've been a great overall experience after the fact as well. Bcuz that step was left out, I can't recommend using a kiosk such as yours to get a duplicate key made again. It will create a lot of frustration and waste a lot of peoples time, like it did mine when the new key gets stuck in the key hole and won't come out. It's hard for me to believe that the deburring step is left out. When I deburred the key on the wire wheel, it took all of 10 seconds or less to slove my problem. That, in and of it self was infuriating, bcuz of the amount of time spent trying to get the key to release from the key hole. It took about 30 seconds to get the key to release in the beginning, but it was taking longer each time it would get caught. The last time it happened before deburring the key, I spent a good 5 minutes trying to get my key out of the key hole. For those resasons I can not recommend using your kiosk unless someone wants to experience a whole lot of frustration and headache after the fact.

I had seven copies made. When the first few keys came out, I was a little concerned- there were minute differences from the original. But - I checked all of them and they all worked. Lot cheaper than going to a locksmith.
