It’s critical not to raise your voice or bother people while they’re shopping. If your entry level input is required, you will be asked.

Unacceptable customer service. Do not raise your voice or bother people while they’re shopping. The economy isn’t healthy enough to drive customers away.

What’s with some of your staff at self-checkout? They’re usually not tending to their station, and when they finally come over, they get within a foot of you and start some ungenuine, awkward small talk. They might as well just say, “I want to make sure you’re not stealing.” The whole reason I use self-checkout is because it’s convenient, and I have young kids at home that I’m trying to keep from getting sick during flu season. If your shrink rate is that bad and you don’t trust your customers, then don’t have self-checkout. It’s simple. Even though it’s less convenient, I think I’m going to start going to Home Depot instead.
