We ordered (and fully paid for) a Heat & Glo fireplace insert to replace our 30 year old model on a Tuesday, and were told it would arrive by Friday. Their installer scheduled the install for about 3 weeks later (December 4). He showed up and removed our old fireplace insert and went to get the new one - but somehow it was NOT at the shop even though their “paperwork” said it was there - no clear explanation given for the screw up. They’ve now had our money for about a month, they screwed over the installer because he had to reschedule our installation and wasted his day, and all they’ve offered us is a $300 partial refund which is what they’re offering anyone in the current Valpak advertising (and less than 5% of what we paid for the unit). Now we have a hole where our fireplace used to be, and the holidays upon us, and no guarantee of anything. If they didn’t already have our money we would be giving someone else our business! I definitely recommend you save yourself the headache and heartburn and look elsewhere for your fireplace and patio needs.
