Had a wonderful staff person help us find everything we needed. They're selection of hanging baskets is massive and vary in prices to fit your budget. Picked up a few water fountains, planter pots and artificial trees that look so realistic. They have the cutest gift ideas and displays to help visualize your yard and garden and patio. Bring the kiddos for their educational toy section where you'll find plush stuffed animals, experiment, and unique toys. They frequently have great deals, so it's good to visit often. Make sure you grab a cart, because there's plenty to find here!

I've always heard the ads and driven past various locations, but I had never stopped in until this past weekend. I wasn't sure what I expected the store to look like but it definitely wasn't the massive collection of decor, apparel, and other non plant items. It was fully stocked and fun to explore.

I only had one item—something quick and easy. But trying to check out turned into an awkward and frustrating experience.
There were three cashiers and two people at Customer Service, but it felt like we were invisible. At Customer Service, the older woman handed the phone off to a younger staff member for her to deal with and simply walked away—no greeting, no “we’ll be right with you,” nothing. Just… ignored.
We moved to a cashier finishing up with another customer, but as soon as she was done, she silently put up a “Lane Closed” sign and avoided all eye contact. The next cashier had a customer waiting for someone to grab another item, and instead of offering to quickly ring us up (again, just one item), he also put up a “Lane Closed” sign and said something to the effect of, “I can’t help you for several minutes.”
The store wasn’t busy. There were no long lines. It wasn’t chaos. It just felt like we didn’t matter—like they saw us and made a decision to act like we weren’t there. That’s a pretty lousy feeling to walk away with.
I understand things get hectic in retail, and I’m not looking for special treatment. But a little eye contact and a “Sorry, we’re closing this lane” or “Someone will be with you shortly” would have gone a long way. Instead, we left feeling unwelcome and disrespected. That shouldn’t be the lasting impression a local business leaves with its customers.

I’ve been patronizing the Mentor store for 2 plus years, spent at least $1000 there since Spring. In April we bought a PJM rhododendron, it’s been a tough Spring and it didn’t make it. I’ve spoken to the growers there twice about and they were helpful. Today I wanted to get a refund for it, so I brought a picture as instructed last time I was in and wanted to purchase a replacement of another type plant at about the same cost. Nope, I had to bring in the dead plant, because people try to scam them. I drive back to Lyndhurst , yanked the plant and drove back to Mentor. The manager at the store just couldn’t make the call that it was pretty unlikely that someone whose spent over a $1000 this year was trying to scam them for $40...I get the policy, but there’s also a thing called business sense. Nobody scammed them for $40, but they alienated a good customer.
