  Just had my sofa repaired by Greg. He arrived right on time for both the estimate and the actual repair, took the time to talk through what he was about to do, showed me what was done before he closed it back up and did great work. I'd recommend him for anyone looking for furniture to be repaired. Thanks, Greg!

  We had our recliner repaired by Ernst several years ago, and had a good enough experience that I saved their info for future use. Fast forward to last week or so, the recliner broke again. I called Ernst and described the problem - 18 year old non-power Lane recliner made a loud noise and is now tilting to one side. They told me that an 18 year old recliner is toast, and that Lane probably isn’t even still in business to get parts. If I had taken them at their word, we would’ve spent $1200+ to replace the recliner, rearranged our room to accommodate the larger current silhouettes, and eaten up our family’s emergency fund. Thankfully, I Googled Lane and found out that they *are* still in business. I called around and found another repair shop who talked me through possible problems and solutions and had me take pictures of labels and email them. That shop came out this morning and replaced a broken bolt in about half an hour, saving us at least 90% of the cost of a new recliner. If we were outside Ernst’s preferred service area, they could have said that. If they’re overwhelmed with other jobs. They could have said that. Instead, they were either dishonest or lazy and could very well have cost us well over a thousand dollars.
