Well it was great we went there because we recently found another place to move to and we had to stop in and pick up a few things that we needed along the way it went great we made sure to go to a human being for check out because I believe there's no better interaction than with a human being instead of self-checkout

I bought a huuuge Halloween display only to get home to find the base was not sent with me. Don't think anyone is at fault, just lost in the shuffle. Shawn was super helpful in the morning. By the time I got around to putting it together, I noticed the base wasn't there. I immediately called the Elyria OH store where it was purchased. I wish I could remember the young lady's name who took my call but she was also super helpful. Said she'll get the guys on it immediately. She asked for my phone number to be able to call me back with an update, and I honestly didn't have much hope of hearing back. My impatience got the better of me and much to my surprise when I was halfway back to the store she called with the unfortunate news that it hadn't been located but efforts would continue. I told her I was almost to the store and I just want to look around at where I was specifically in the store when I purchased it. Again, blown away, 6 people asked if I needed help and when I told them what was going on they all knew exactly what i was talking about and all individually stated they were part of the crew looking for my base. At last, three gentlemen, Terry, Donovan, and Elijah, took me directly to a manager, Brian, who immediately and without hesitation, resolved my issue. Gentlemen, again, I can't thank you enough for your attention and insistence on resolving my issue over something so miniscule, in the grand scheme. Elyria Lowe's Forever

UPDATE (October 2025): It’s been less than a week since posting this review, and somehow Lowe’s has managed to make things worse. After everything that’s happened, their official response was to offer my mom the option to return the vanity top — but only if she pays a 20% restocking fee. Yes, they actually want a 70-year-old woman to pay to fix their mistake. Even after the store admitted that the showroom sample came from a completely different supplier than what was installed — something my mom was never told — no one has taken responsibility. The “resolution” they’re offering is nothing more than a penalty for trusting what she was shown in their store. It’s honestly shocking that a company as large as Lowe’s would stand behind this kind of treatment. My mom isn’t asking for anything unreasonable — just to receive what she ordered, or to have her money returned without being punished for it. Lowe’s should be embarrassed that this is how they handle customers who trust them. ORIGINAL REVIEW My mom is almost 70. She and my dad built their home in 1980, and in all those years she has never replaced her counters. This was her first renovation in 45 years, and she trusted Lowe’s in Elyria to guide her. She picked out a granite vanity top based on the showroom sample. What she received looks nothing like what she chose. For over 3 months she has been patient, sending photos and waiting for help, but she has only been told that “this is what the supplier has” and “there’s nothing we can do.” Even the associate admitted the showroom samples came from a different supplier than what was installed — something never disclosed. The attached photos tell the story: In the first photo, the middle stone is the showroom sample my mom selected — a tan granite with warm tones. What was delivered instead is a slab with black, white, and red running through it, which looks closer to a different stone altogether. In the bathroom photo, you can see how out of place it looks with the paint, the sink, and the rest of the space. She even hung red curtains just to try to make it look a little more acceptable. Instead of a joyful milestone, this renovation has been upsetting and disappointing. A company like Lowe’s should take responsibility when what is delivered does not match what was sold.
