- TTTraci Timmons3 days ago1.0DO NOT FALL FOR ADVERTISED PRICING! Every person I dealt with is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and feels safe. HOWEVER - their pricing policies are predatory. I rented space there this past February - the advertised price was approximately $70-75/month, which I learned was for a unit including stairs and without climate control. I wasn’t happy with the price of $110/month an acceptable unit ACTUALLY was, but I believe the person I was speaking to, when he told me it would be worth it because THIS WAS NOT A PROMO PRICE and therefore wouldn't go up automatically in three months like most of the deals out there. Three months later, I received a notice that the price was going up to $210/month. I was absolutely horrified. I went to the agreement and while there was no mention of the $110 being a promo price, there was language stating that they could raise it any time with at least 30 days notice. I should have moved out then, but the reason these things were in storage involves a lot of stress in my life so I simply started paying the higher price on the fourth month. I never expected to need the storage this long, so I decided recently that I would move to a smaller unit and get some help to move everything and if we could not fit all of it with super efficient organization, make the tough decisions about what to get rid of. As I was planning for this, I got another card in the mail informing me it was going up ANOTHER $100/MONTH! Only nine months after moving in and only six months after the last increase. THEY RAISED THE PRICE BY 182% - ALMOST TRIPLED IT in nine months. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN - and my suggestion is that you make sure to negotiate a contract that locks in your pricing and has a structure for less than usurious increases in the future.
