The sales team at La-Z-Boy was nothing but helpful and kind during our purchase, which makes this experience even more disappointing.
We purchased a recliner and couch two years ago, along with the top-level 5-year warranty. Unfortunately, we have had ongoing issues with the recliner since early on. The electronics had to be replaced shortly after purchase. Multiple times, the physical rocking mechanism has broken. The stitching on the cushion also came apart; when a replacement cushion was sent, the stitching separated again within a week.
We have contacted both Comfort Care and Serveco repeatedly, and each points us to the other for coverage. The process has been frustrating, time-consuming, and confusing. To make matters worse, we’ve been told we would need to pay labor costs to fix issues that have existed since the recliner was purchased — despite having the highest warranty coverage.
We briefly had hope when a store manager acknowledged that the recliner appears to be a lemon and said she would work with Comfort Care toward a resolution, possibly a replacement. Since then, we have called multiple times and reached out directly to Comfort Care with no response.
We are a normal-size family with normal use of our furniture. There is no reasonable explanation for the repeated mechanical and quality failures we’ve experienced. We were excited to invest in La-Z-Boy furniture and expected durability and support to match the price and warranty. Instead, this recliner has caused nothing but frustration.
At this point, we are simply looking for La-Z-Boy to stand behind its product and warranty, provide a fair and permanent resolution, and restore our confidence in the brand.

I would have to say that the sales are representative was fine to deal with as far as your delivery service substandard technicians came not prepared to put the furniture together not understanding how it goes together or not willing to even try. This is the second piece of furniture we’ve purchased from La-Z-Boy with the same results both times had to call for service to have the furniture put together the appropriate way.
So I reached out to my sales person to discuss the delivery process and how that went. He assured me that he would request service as soon as possible as I’ve been waiting for two weeks. I finally called myself today and service is now telling me that I’m gonna have to wait another 30 days to have someone come out and look at it. This is totally unacceptable and I’m thoroughly displeased. Jim Wandtke
