I purchased a gas dryer at Lowe’s in Oswego, NY on November 15, 2025. Was more than clear that we needed a conversion kit to propane as we do not have natural gas. The current dryer is propane so all the parts are on it. Today, November 25, was supposed to be installation day…NOT!!! We were contacted by CRST Solutions to be told the installer does not do propane installation but will get back to us. I called Lowe’s to be told that the conversion kit was never ordered and that it would take 17 days to be shipped to my house from Whirlpool. At this point I cancelled the order. I contacted a supervisor to express my distress and to give feedback regarding the major mistake the salesBOY made in not ordering a crucial part needed for the dryer install. I am fine with this being a learning experience for the inexperienced salesBOY but wanted to make sure this didn’t happen to another unsuspecting customer. He wanted to salvage the sale and was going to get back to me. Waited a few hours and decided to go to a local mom and pop appliance store. Bought the same dryer for $1 more. Lowe’s sold me all kinds of parts that they said I had to replace to the tune of $65.00. The install person at the store we bought the dryer from told me the installer will inspect all parts and replace if needed. The only part I had to pay for was the conversion to propane. I do have to note that the supervisor (Jerry) called back in the afternoon with some solutions but we had already gone out and purchased the same dryer. Kudos to Jerry for working on behalf of Lowe’s to make things right. The unfortunate result of all of this is I will not buy another appliance at Lowe’s.

We are at Lowe's several times a week it's a nuts and bolts place for the husband, and we find many other things here anything from rugs and cleaning items to plants. Employees are very helpful, and they give a decent military discount as well
