- DDDannyn_01Apr 2, 20261.0I had an extremely frustrating experience with Lowe’s this week. On Tuesday, I received a vanity with a broken top. While I understand that damage can happen during delivery and don’t necessarily blame the store for that, everything that followed was completely unacceptable. That same night, I arranged for a return pickup since the item weighs nearly 300 lbs and isn’t something I can transport myself. The pickup was scheduled for Thursday. To be safe, I even called on Wednesday to confirm, and I was assured everything was set. I took a day off work on Thursday to be available. No one called to provide a pickup window, so I contacted the store myself. The first employee told me they didn’t see any pickup scheduled and suggested I call back later. Two hours later, I called again and was told the driver was “5 stops away.” After waiting another two hours, I called again and was told “1 stop away.” Then, after yet another hour of waiting, I called back only to be told there was no pickup scheduled at all and the next available date would be Saturday. So not only did no one show up, but I also lost an entire day of work because of their disorganization and misinformation. The lack of communication, coordination, and accountability here is incredibly disappointing. I expected much better service.

Employee did fantastic, physically went and looked throughout the store for a manager and we waited for over 2 hours. I had to give in and decided to buy without the discount, slightly ruined my progress on my new home taking that much of the day.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped.
