    Although I purchased a 3 year warranty for an item Lowe's has made it extremely difficult to reconcile my claim for replacement. I have followed their instructions even though they have changed the procedure 3 times. I have spent hours attempting to return and replace the item. I was directed to contact the manufacturer, then the Lowe's extended warranty division. The store accepts no responsibility. It seems counterproductive to purchase a warranty if it requires hours and multiple visits to reconcile. There needs to be a clear path to resolution of the issue.

    Purchased new pellet stove today. Asked for one in a box. Was told they were only shipped strapped to a pallet. No box. Got home and discovered there was a part missing. Called Oneonta Lowe’s only to be put on hold twice for 20 minutes each time only to be hung up on. Drove to Oneonta Lowe’s and was told I bought a floor model because it wasn’t in a box. Manager said I had to call the manufacturer to get a replacement part. Called manufacturer and ordered missing part. Continued to install stove and discovered room sensor was torn out of the back of unit. Guess I’ll be calling manufacturer again tomorrow for a replacement room sensor. Spent $1100.00 today. That is the last I’ll be spending at Lowe’s in Oneonta. I’ll take my business elsewhere. Something needs to be done about the manager’s customer service skills.

    Unbelievably incompetent store and workers. We ordered 100 sheet rocks. They originally gave us $12.82/each for the Pro discount, and charged us extra $5/each (app. $600) for a boom delivery. After waiting for three weeks, they did not deliver on the day they promised to deliver. They said the truck of the boom company they hired broke and the driver quit, and there will be no delivery option with a boom. However, they never notified us and we had a few workers waiting the entire day from 8am for the delivery. We lost more than $1,000 to pay our workers for their waiting time and their labor to bring all the sheet rocks upstairs. Peter, the Oneonta store manager, admitted that they originally had charged us the discounted $12.82 per sheetrock earlier in the day, and he went against his word in the same day afternoon, saying that he cannot refund the $600 the Pro desk originally told us and he will switch the department. Eddie, the Pro desk worker, told us the same day that the manager is the charge for this. Peter conveniently called us right after the unexpected delivery today, which Lowe's workers had no idea yesterday and they told us they can't even find the order, and he said we got the over $17/each sheetrock because we didn't order from Lowe's, but the boom company. (Their Pro desk never told us anything like that.) When we pointed that out, he got upset and selfishly hung up the call immediately. When we were considering cancelling this order, he insisted on delivering it today, saying he would work on the refund. As a result, we got the most expensive sheetrock with no boom delivery in the area. Lowe's, stop hiring incompetent workers. Or, we will not be your loyal customer any longer. Incompetent is mildly described, so we edited this review. They are extremely irresponsible with their customers' orders, and they purposely deceived us.

    Lowe's Oneonta, NY is getting a 1 from me solely for one reason. We ordered a ton of the wood pellets that come in the white bag with the green writing. Not green supreme, im pretty sure these are a lowes exclusive. Had to call customer service to schedule a delivery bc their app and their website says delivery is unavailable. My wife spent Sunday on the phone for hours trying to get them ordered. Great, delivery scheduled! We were told we would receive an email the night before or the morning of the delivery with our four hour window...crickets...delivery day comes, no email...and no pellets. Customer service tells us the truck broke down AND nobody felt it was necessary to tell us they wouldn't be delivered, I took off from work so they could deliver them and not leave our driveway blocked. That same conversation, customer service told us we would get a phone call from the delivery manager or the store manager about the delivery at 6am the following morning since thats when they opened. No phone call. No email, nothing. I will be taking my business to home depot and never shopping at lowes again. The lack of communication, abysmal customer service has left a bitter taste in my mouth
