I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had with Lowe's. I ordered a grill with same-day delivery and paid an additional delivery fee. The grill never arrived. When I tried calling the Brooklyn store for answers, no one picked up the phone. When I finally got through, I was spoken to extremely rudely and even shouted at. I ended up canceling the order through Lowe’s headquarters because no one at the store could tell me where my order was or when it would arrive. Days later, I was told the driver had delivered the grill to the wrong house. They brushed it off by saying “third-party delivery services are hard to deal with,” while laughing. When the refund came through, it didn’t include the delivery fee for the service that never happened. I had to call again and argue with another representative to get the full refund. For a company the size of Lowe’s, this level of poor communication and lack of accountability is unacceptable. I would strongly recommend avoiding this store unless you’re prepared for a frustrating experience.

I am writing to formally report a serious safety concern that occurred at the Lowes location on 118 2ND Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11215. Date was Saturday, February 28, 2026, between approximately 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM. While I was in the process of loading my delivery truck for a scheduled pickup, a forklift (high-low) operator positioned his machine directly near my vehicle and began preparing to lift heavy materials overhead—both above my person and over my truck. I was standing in very close proximity at the time. I immediately and politely asked the operator not to start operating the forklift until I had safely moved away from the area. According to OSHA safety standards and general warehouse operating procedures, powered industrial trucks should not be operated in close proximity to pedestrians, particularly when lifting materials overhead. Unfortunately, the operator remained on his cell phone, waved me off dismissively, and signaled that my concern did not matter. I repeated my request a second time, again calmly asking him to allow me the opportunity to move to a safe distance before proceeding. He continued to ignore the concern and remained engaged on his phone. I've attached pictures of the operator. In the photos, he's giving me the "peace" sign as a sign of disrespect and not showing the slight of caring. Everything is on camera and you can check the tape yourself. Feeling unsafe, I contacted parking lot security. I was informed that they were only responsible for parking lot security and could not intervene in operational matters. I was then directed inside to speak with store management. I spoke with a store representative and directed him outside to observe the situation. The forklift operator temporarily moved away from my truck but later returned and continued operating the equipment while my vehicle remained in the immediate vicinity. In addition to the unsafe proximity and disregard for pedestrian safety, there was no visible spotter or walking attendant present to assist with traffic control or pedestrian clearance while heavy equipment was being operated in a public parking area. It is my understanding that when forklifts are used in open customer-accessible areas, there should be proper safety measures in place, including clear pedestrian control and traffic direction. I want to emphasize that this location is one of my preferred stores to work with. I conduct regular business here and value the professional relationships I’ve built. However, my ability to continue operating at this location depends on a safe working environment. On this occasion, I did not feel safe. This complaint is not made lightly. Operating heavy machinery in close proximity to pedestrians without proper attention, particularly while distracted by a cell phone, creates a serious hazard. I strongly urge management to review this incident, evaluate the operator’s conduct, and reinforce proper forklift safety procedures to prevent potential injury or property damage in the future.

This location is convenient and usually stocked with what you need for your home. The service was not always good, however I recently visited and was acknowledged when I walked in the door.
