  I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Extra Space Storage! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. The staff went above and beyond to make the entire process smooth, stress-free, and actually enjoyable. The facility is incredibly clean, well-lit, and feels very secure — which gave me total peace of mind leaving my belongings there. Every question I had was answered thoroughly, and they took the time to make sure I understood all my options without ever feeling pressured. Moving and storage can be such a stressful experience, but the team at Extra Space Storage truly made it effortless. Their customer service is top-tier, and you can tell they genuinely care about the people they help. If you’re looking for a storage facility that is safe, reliable, and run by amazing people — this is the place. Highly, highly recommend!

  The storage facility gets the job done, but it’s nothing special. The units were clean enough and I didn’t have any issues accessing my stuff. The staff was generally polite, although communication could’ve been a little better at times. Pricing felt a bit on the higher side compared to other places nearby, and the office hours weren’t always the most convenient. Overall, it’s a decent option if you need storage, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

  Visited Extra Space Storage for the first time ever after driving and walking past is for YEARS! Prior to walking into the 485 W 129th St location, I was nervous and uncertain of what to expect, but immediately discovered that there was nothing to worry about. I was met with the BEST and warmest customer service I’ve ever experienced at any establishment. Jeanette, the store manager at this location was one of the stars of this defining moment. From start to finish, she assured that she understood my concerns, that she accommodated my inquiries, and educated me on the storage options that would be most suitable for my needs. She was EXTREMELY thorough, kind, patient, attentive, and supportive as she even diligently searched for deals throughout the city that would be most feasible for my budget while aligned with how frequently I planned to visit my storage space. She was also incredibly personable and funny — a beautiful ray of sunshine, truly! There wasn’t ever a dull moment with her which made the experience even more special. During the consultation, I got to meet another star player, Robbie, that is a part of this team in Harlem and who added reassurance and supported the already cultivated familial vibe that really hit home for me. I truly appreciated both of your inputs towards helping me make a sound decision about renting. It’s without a doubt that both personnel knew their stuff, offering authentic value! As a whole, the entire consultation made me feel seen and comfortable with the idea of renting from this company, but especially at this location. I was so pleased with my visit and experience at Extra Space Storage and would highly recommend anyone to work with them. If you have the opportunity to rent here at the 129th street location, I suggest that you don’t hesitate. You’ll be in good hands!
