    Self checkout only now. Registers are gone. There were 4 employees standing by them doing nothing. Between that and employees who know nothing about what they are selling I will be taking my business to local businesses like HEP, Santelli Lumber and Fairport Hardware where the staff is knowledgeable and the prices are usually cheaper

    Very Regular shopper....recently went in to find a solution with materials and to try to get help with a material that was alone on a shelf that I hoped would remedy a project. (It had an individual tag on it-unfortunately for the wrong item when I scanned it at self check out) A manager was not making any attempt to be helpful and was only interested in store policy- that the item could not be sold alone...Note: I was politely asking and manager was not at all responsive to discussing my need, only about reciting store policy. He insinuated that I wasn't interested in their goal to make a profit when I asked if I could buy or have this lonesome item... Many associates have routinely done a great job assisting me and I truly appreciate their efforts. I do understand and accept store policy...I would of hoped a conversation regarding the "isolated item" would have been allowed, yet it was clear a conversation was not welcomed. I also understand difficult customers make difficult times for employees...I wasn't being "that" customer. This is not the first time Lowes has espoused the letter of their policy vs the spirit of the need to logically discuss situations that could help the customer if agreed by both parties...Thinking it may be appropriate to have a conversation about customer service. Loyalty goes both ways... Update: From Lowe's response I now truly understand my concerns are valid...I felt insulted with no provocation just looking for a polite conversation which I was not given the opportunity to have...That is not the way to treat customers, loyal or new.

    Scheduled 2 times for a kitchen design. 1. Walked in store without scheduling to schedule 3 separate people couldn’t tell me how until I got online to do it. Made an appointment for 8 am. 2. Showed up for 8am appointment got no showed- told at 8:30 that the person called out sick. It happens rescheduled for next day at 12. 3. Showed up at 11:50 for the noon. Guy saw my name in the system and said he couldn’t block it so he can’t take me. Manager did nothing but offered me to come back a third time. This is a joke.
