  Avoid LI Marble Dusting – $19K Mistake What started as a great experience with Kathy and Blake turned into a $19,000 nightmare. Within days of completion, I had black stripes above my tile and a dark ring on the waterline that needs scrubbing every few days. Based solely on photos, Blake blamed “runoff” from my 23-year-old patio and coping — even though we’ve never had runoff before — and suggested I brush it with “magic acid." Kathy claimed they’d “never seen this before” and tried to blame light drizzle and my old coping. If rain or 23-year-old coping were truly the cause, why is the problem still happening weeks later — and why did it never occur in the decades before their work? When I pressed her to see the issue in person, she promised to come by. Four weeks later: nothing. Three independent pool and product experts agree the real cause is obvious — they used marble dust above the tile, which is meant to cure under water. Dry application causes poor curing and leaches color. Now I’m stuck spending more money to remove, replace, or seal their defective work. Unprofessional communication, zero accountability, and work that created a problem I never had before. I regret hiring them.

  Long Island Marble Dusting just completed my pool. Kathy, Blake and team did a phenomenal job throughout the process. Despite nonending rain that caused delays, they kept me fully informed and completed the project on time and on budget. The communication process throughout was completely transparent. They were a pleasure to work with and would highly recommend them.
