Lowes has horrible customer service and I will never shop there again. I received a secret Santa gift that was a tool I didn't need and it only sold at Lowes. I went to the store to customer service to get an exchange for something else. The customer service associate told me you need a receipt. I explained the situation and he told me the same thing. I asked to see the manager. He called him on the phone and told the manager the situation. I did not see or speak to the manager. The store was pretty much a ghost town on Friday December 19th 2025. The representative tell me the Manager said the same thing "no receipt no exchange " this is the store policy. I believe this is a very poor policy especially during the holiday season when people are exchanging gifts. Most stores/business will take back an item and if you don't have a receipt they will allow an exchange or store credit. The item I had retailed for $48.95 at Lowes. I can't believe that they are will to loose a customer for that but it is true. I call their corporate customer service and got the same disappointment. They really don't see to care about their customers. As a matter of fact. The corporate representative said do what you want this is the policy. So here I am sharing this terrible experience with the public. I have shopped there for years and spent a lot of money. They are loosing a good customer. I don't suggest giving them your business. Home Depot and Ace Hardware don't treat their customers like this.
