I almost always go here for when I am renovating my home. They always seem to have what I need for my house projects. The associates will bring me right to the isle where my product is located and also help me trouble shoot a problem. It is also a good location for my needs,

Employee James H. was extremely helpful during my visit. I had a list of various materials needed for projects involving electrical, plumbing, and finishing work. First, James helped me find the perfect ceiling fan and provided the proper specifications and materials required for installation, including electrical connectors, switches, 12-gauge wire, and a hanging bracket with the correct weight specification. Next, James assisted me in locating numerous plumbing fittings, such as elbows/tees for the sanitary line, a drain air vent, and the PVC cement/primer to put it all together. He also helped me find the proper shark bite fittings and shutoff valves for supply lines. Along with the necessary removal tool to relocate the fittings in case I make a mistake. (which I did… lol luckily I had the tool!) Finally, James helped me find some finishing touches like outlet/switch covers, as well as a heat vent cover. That helped me button up a few tasks around my personal home. James H. is a phenomenal employee! His attention to detail, patience, and dedication to customer service are unmatched. He showed genuine interest in my needs and made me feel valued. I'm looking forward to returning to Lowe's and hopefully working with James again. Give that man a raise!!

Terrible customer service . My husband and I bought a washing machine from the Camillus Lowe’s today. We brought it home about half hour away. My husband was installing it and realized it was the wrong one. Our receipt says GE we received a whirlpool (same one we had that kept breaking) I called to verify and yes they gave us the wrong one. I spoke to Alice who basically said we had to bring it back and get the correct one or we’d have to wait for a delivery date so they could come pick it up wait for the return to go through and then we could purchase a new one. Plus pay a delivery fee. She supposedly spoke to a manager to see what else could be done and that was basically it. Their customer service is terrible. It was their fault they brought out the wrong one and loaded it onto the truck. Yes, we should’ve checked too, but you figure can’t be that hard of a job to find the right washing machine that was ordered. Very disappointing. I told them we will be there in 20 minutes to pick up the correct one so we packaged up the washing machine drove it back and the other one wasn’t even waiting. My husband had to wait another 20 to 30 minutes for them to bring up the correct one. when he got there, no one knew what was going on shocker.

UPDATE: Lowe’s has now outright refused to refund the EPA lead test fee that was charged despite no test ever being performed. When I requested the legally required test results, Lowe’s could not produce any documentation showing a test method, test locations, date of testing, or outcome. Instead, they provided a generic “presumed lead” document and attempted to misrepresent it as a positive test result. A presumption of lead is not a lead test and does not generate test results. When I stated I intended to file a formal EPA complaint, I was told Lowe’s would “get their lawyers involved” if I did so. That response alone is deeply troubling. I was also pressured to sign a confidentiality agreement in exchange for a token refund of less than 10% of the total job cost — an apparent attempt to bully me into silence rather than take accountability for unsafe work, billing for services that were never performed, and months of mismanagement. The local store has repeatedly told me they are powerless and that everything is being dictated by corporate. Corporate, in turn, has refused to engage in good faith, denied refunds without justification, dismissed documented safety failures, and attempted to intimidate me into not exercising my legal right to file a regulatory complaint. What began as an incompetent installation has escalated into obstruction, intimidation, misrepresentation, and an effort to suppress legitimate consumer and safety concerns. ORIGINAL: BEWARE! This was one of the worst home-installation experiences I’ve ever had. A door install sold as a one-day job and costing over $4,400 turned into a three-month ordeal due entirely to Lowe’s mismanagement. The initial installer failed to complete the installation and left my home in an unsafe condition. The door was held in place with only three screws, had no waterproofing, and the keys were stuck in the handle, meaning the door could not be properly locked or secured. This is a serious safety concern, especially with two children under the age of five in the home. Because the lock was not functioning, I went to the Camillus Lowe’s store, which is closest to the job site, seeking immediate help for what was clearly an urgent safety issue. Despite explaining the situation, I was told the store could not assist me at all because the door had been sold by a different Lowe’s location. No attempt was made to look up the installation, contact the selling store, escalate the issue internally, or provide any interim solution. I was simply turned away while dealing with a non-functional exterior lock on my home. I was then forced to make five trips related to this installation, two lasting over four hours. During the last two visits, the installer was provided open-box materials missing required components, making it impossible to complete the job. These visits were entirely avoidable and a complete waste of my time. When I visited the original selling store to address the ongoing issues, employees verbally told me that the store managers “didn’t care.” Despite multiple requests, management refused to come out and speak with me directly, leaving frontline staff to relay dismissive responses rather than offering accountability or resolution. I was told any pricing adjustments would be addressed at the end. When no one contacted me, I had to initiate follow-up myself and only then was I told Lowe’s was considering $103, described as preliminary and subject to further review. That follow-up never happened. I was also told my file contains 18 pages of notes with 93 comments, which reflects how severely this project was mishandled. I was also charged for an EPA test that was never performed, raising serious concerns about billing practices in addition to workmanship and safety. For a company of this size, the lack of coordination between stores, management accountability, quality control, and concern for customer safety and time is unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone considering Lowe’s door installation services.
