I have been a customer of Storage Post Brooklyn Grand location since April 2016. We are now Nov 2025. My charge date on my credit card was the 29th of the month. My credit card expired last month (Oct). I was notified via text messages, voicemails and a later 'threat' text that my unit has been 'locked and no longer accessible'. All this happened within a span of 3 days - that's 72 hours. I updated my credit card on Nov 2nd. I emailed them 2 times prior to that to let them know that I have done the necessary and to not charge me any fees. Never heard back. I called today (Nov 16) after seeing that a $15 fee was in fact charged and was told no, nothing can be done about it because I was 'effectively late'. To note, we are just coming out of a government shutdown in the country and even banks have offered concession payments to its customers. To reiterate, I have been a customer of theirs for over 9 years. 9 whole years. My rate has gone up by 60% in these 9 years. Never have I ever received any communication about these rate increases. I did receive a total of 4 harassment messages about a 'credit card expiring' situation. That is all. This is my review for this establishment. Further response from me as Customer: Establishment has responded within 12 hours on a Sunday when a public review was posted. With the generic ‘we have no record of you.’ To the Owner: no I don’t use my legal name. 2 things you can do instead of asking a long standing Customer whom you’ve treated this way after they’ve already emailed you and called you. 1) you could check with whoever was on phone duties on Sunday Nov 16. 2) You could also filter by Oct 29 due and see which accounts were billed fees last month for credit card expiry. And narrow down from there. But I guess it’s easier to respond by ‘we have no record of you’ and put the onus back on the Customer to line your ducks in a row further for you, because you know, that’s what service is about. Any response at all about your practices and uncommunicated rate increases? Feel free to answer right here, I’m sure people would like to know.

I was going to rent a unit here but I decided to go to a different company. They are refusing to release the admin fee I paid and the customer service center is filled with rude middle aged incompetent angry people. I called the same day to cancel and it’s been two weeks with no refund calls or emails returned.

Recently moved in and have had a great experience so far! Nycole was really helpful — both in showing me available units/giving me a walkthrough of the space, and on move-in day!

I had the most wonderful experience with Kristian and Tristian today while checking into my storage unit. They were informed, helpful, and charismatic. The company is very lucky to have this duo working the front of house.
