My unit was crawling with rat poop, and management knew about the infestation but did nothing. Last week, I reported it, and they offered to clean—big mistake trusting them. I asked to schedule a cleaning for next week, and the front desk lady swore I could just show up and they'd handle it. Today, the office was empty, so I got stuck on hold for twenty minutes, passed between two people who were off cutting locks on other floors. Finally, Alicia and another worker agreed to clean my unit in thirty minutes after I moved my stuff out. Spoiler: they never showed. I waited thirty-five, then forty minutes, and found them still messing with locks, saying they had to finish those first—despite agreeing to help me! I offered to clean it myself, but they promised to get rat repellent from the ground floor. Then, mid-conversation, they ditched me for another customer and never delivered the repellent. I waited another fifteen minutes, chased them down again, grabbed the stuff myself, and spent two and a half hours cleaning up rat poop while my stuff sat outside. The whole ground floor is filthy with it, and they clearly don't care. Worst customer service ever—stay far away! Terrible place—don't waste your money. They're jacking up prices by two hundred fifty percent, but the service is trash. Rat poop everywhere, even in the public hallways, and they won't even clean it. You pay way more for a storage unit crawling with vermin and zero customer service. Avoid Extra Space Storage at all costs!
