  I was with Extra Space for over a few years. I appreciated their prices (until now) and facility. The facility itself is nice, clean, and I did not notice any pests. I am disappointed that they raised my monthly over 90% of what I was paying with only a notice in the mail that I did not receive. It was not worth it to keep, so I cancelled after making my payment the week prior. They refuse to refund me for the days the unit is vacant but I’m sure they’ll still rent it out, when I moved prior they pro-rated my days while I was transferring locations, but they “don’t do that anymore.” Very disappointed in the customer service from the man at the front desk, I wish I got his name. Customer service is not the profession for him. Please do not go here!! As cheap and nice as it seems!! They did the same thing to my parents’ unit.

  Manager was extremely nice and helpful. They had everything ready to go with a cute little welcome bag with your lock in it. Honestly the cleanest storage unit/company I’ve ever used before.

  Originally a customer of Double Diamond. I called their 800 number to start up as I had several questions before making a decision to rent with them. I was told many things that ended up being a lie. I went to the office to discuss this and was met with, "you signed our contract that allows us to tell you anything we want and you cannot hold us responsible." Keep in mind, they pressure you to sign as "the unit may be rented before you lock it in." The guy also stated corporate doesn't care, he doesn't care and that people who store things are a waste of money and can't let go. We're all hoarders. Added he's worked 27 jobs already in his youth and has no loyalty or care about the "evils of corporations." Naturally, I was done with Extra Space. I'd had enough of their games and deceit. Then comes Robynn at the Vista location. She runs her location like a professional should. She was responsive, attentive, and willing to work with me on getting a unit. An actual manager that takes ownership of her job. She didn't vomit her whole personal political beliefs on me, call me and all other ESS customers idiots for having things in storage, and resolved the issue. There are challenges to the garage area and parking room for loading and off-loading, but still better than the DD location. An added bonus is the music playing in the background.

  Extra Space Storage on Vista Blvd. in Sparks really impressed me with its cleanliness and its security measures. Even my car was well protected in a secured covered location with direct covered access to the storage units. It was also a nice touch that they provided carts on site to make it easier to move things from my truck to the unit. And, on top of that, the customer service has been amazing. From the first person I spoke with who helped arrange everything for me, to my conversations with Robynne, the manager of the location, everyone has been helpful AND friendly (cheerfully friendly) and has been genuinely committed to making sure everything is as perfect as it can possibly be. When I first started looking for a storage facility, it hadn't even occurred to me that there could be much of a difference between them all. After all, they're all just a space to lock your stuff up and store it, right? Noooo... I was very pleasantly surprised to have accidently stumbled upon this place that IS different AND better. This place goes above and beyond in cleanliness, and security, and convenience, and friendly customer service.
