  When I returned from a recent trip I was shocked to find that one of my huge cottonwood trees had smashed the wooden barn and blocked the driveway. The arborist analyzed the situation and shared that this was one tree with 10 huge trunks. The one that fell had disturbed the roots of the whole tree, weakening the rest of the trunks. There was a great danger that one or more of the trunks would fall on my neighbor’s house. The situation was critical. I knew that I had to find the best tree company to tackle this job. I got on the waiting list for Southwest Fire Defense LLC and when the day came, Daniel Martinez and his crew arrived with the huge machinery needed for this challenging job. In two days they had removed all of the branches from 6 of the trunks and chipped them into a huge pile for my future use. On the 3rd day the crane arrived to assist in the final work of cutting back the bare trunks into large segments, the largest of which weighed 7000 lbs. They placed the segments where I requested. Daniel and his team of six were very skilled and knowledgeable. Throughout this process, they answered all my many questions and were very respectful of my wishes and concerns. They worked with great efficiency while maintaining a high level of safety. I am so grateful I found this company! I highly recommend Southwest Fire Defense for any type of tree removal work.

  If you have big trees, especially near buildings, this company should be your only choice. We got a number of estimates from other tree services who used human tree climbers/cutters, but I can't imagine them being able to do this job, much less as safely or expeditiously. SFD has top notch equipment and a professional crew to remove or prune big trees efficiently. The owner even threw in some extra services for free! Highly recommend.
