Yesterday, the company charged my credit card $120 for the next month. THE COMPANY MORE THAN TRIPLED MY PRICE IS LESS THAN ONE YEAR. At this moment, on the Extra Space Storage website there is a listing for a 5x10 indoor unit, elevator access, in the same building as mine for $87/month. That is twice the size as the unit that I rent, in the same building, for $33 per month less than my new price. The person who rents this 5x10 for $87/month will very likely get hit with same BAIT AND SWITCH that they hit me with. If I were not overseas, I would move my stuff out now. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. UPDATE---MY REPLY TO THE "Response from the owner" --- You can address my price concerns by lowering my monthly rent back to a reasonable price instead of taking advantage of my overseas situation with a rip off price increase that more than triples the rent that I paid less than one year ago.

The store manager Samantha dug through the box to find my name and called me about the box. When I told her that while I wouldn’t leave boxes outside anymore, her way of digging through the box and finding out my phone number then calling me about it was a bit uncomfortable / creepy she said great then hung up on me. Was such a jarring creepy interaction. A simple apology would’ve sufficed but she must have been really upset over an empty box. What kind of person digs through a box to find a phone number, calls it unsolicited to aggressively confront someone over a minor thing that can be handled over email (or with less aggression), then hangs up instead of apologizing when they’re told that’s not cool? Literally basic social tact. I wonder who owns the place?
