  This facility is very well run…the hallways and units are well lit, always clean and it feels safe! Dee is obviously a fantastic manager and she is always friendly and goes above and beyond to help. That said there is one major problem with this Extra Space Storage facility (and it may be endemic to the brand); they raise prices…often quite significantly…several times a year!! After only 2 months, my rate went up over $100 per month! The unit was expensive to begin with (over $350 per month) and I’ve been told that they raise rates every few months! I don’t know what corporate “genius(es)” came up with this plan, but they are completely out of touch with this market. Those who store belongings in Santa Fe, by and large, are not merely a transient college population. Retirees and those who often have multiple homes migrate here for the most part. We, for example, fit into both categories and I have had a storage unit in another state for more than 14 yrs (and previous storage unites for multiple years prior.) Had I stored my belongings at an Extra Space Storage with a rate structure like this one (no accommodation for long-term tenants and a similar rapidly increasing rental rate) over the years, I would be paying at least $4500 per month for my unit by now!! Of course, that is ridiculous and the powers that be know that, so it is obvious that they are just pushing the rates to the very limit that they can before losing too many tenants. We are upper middle class retirees, but not fools…so I, unfortunately, will not be able to unpack boxes and utilize my units here (yes, I have a 2nd smaller unit which is scheduled to go up next month) in the manner which I would like…for the long term. Although I’m an excellent tenant and pay months in advance, that is apparently not valued by the owners here, therefore I will have to keep my eyes open and look for a different facility that is not intent on alienating stable long-term tenants with such unconscionable and unremitting rate increases.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an excellent experience with this self-storage facility in Santa Fe! From start to finish, everything was clean, secure, and easy to access. The property is well maintained, and I always felt confident that my belongings were safe. A special shout-out to Danette, who truly went above and beyond. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful every step of the way. Danette made the entire process smooth and stress-free, answered all of my questions, and genuinely cared about providing great customer service. It’s rare to come across someone so knowledgeable and kind. If you’re looking for storage in Santa Fe, I highly recommend this location—especially thanks to Danette’s outstanding service

  This has been a clean, safe, and convenient place to store my household items for a few months before moving. The office staff has always been available and super helpful throughout my stay. I especially appreciated their help one frantic day I showed up with my movers and had lost my unit keys AND didn’t have enough storage space! My oversight problems were solved cost effectively in minutes. Thank you Xavier!
