  Went there to buy a single piece of mesquite (firewood,) to do some carving. Owner not sure if thats who I talked to asked if I could fit more in my bicycles panniers. Left with one full pannier, 6 pcs of good size to carve.

  I used Pete’s Top Quality Landscaping in the past, we had called them because we were looking for trees to cover our backyard and to cover the noise of traffic, so it was going to be a lot of them about nine trees. They did come and install the baby trees and we did not know nothing about trees and the names of them and all types of them and as tree experts as Pete’s landscaping should be and are responsible because that is there company. I assumed we had all the same type of tree and as the years went by we noticed and especially me I noticed that one of the trees was not growing the same as the others and was not as high in height and the shape was different as well. It also had a different texture of leaves and you can really tell as you got closer and as all these nine trees started to grow more as the years went by it became more obvious to us we were sold a wrong tree and that is money wasted there. As a customer not knowing about landscaping and nothing about trees and bushes….. We had trust into a company in giving us what we wanted at the time was the SAME nine trees we wanted and on top of that despite them being baby trees there were VERY EXPENSIVE. So I can’t imagine now the cost compared to back then when we bought them. So now we have to figure out how to fix a problem that is given to us and how to make it look cohesive in our backyard. We shouldn’t of been so hasty in going with Pete’s landscaping and we really should have been a more careful if we had only known this was going to happen. I spoke to the Manager about this and she said, quote” well it’s been past five years and that’s been too long and if it’s within a year maybe we can help like recently if it had happened also when we get the trees it comes from another company giving it to us we are not picking up the trees ourselves and by hand.” We can’t help you with this matter.” Whether I’m talking to someone at this company now or in the past or anytime this applies forever. I would like to ask this manager this, so as a company you don’t check your quality of work before giving it to a customer to make sure what your selling is top quality whether you get your products from another company like trees or bushes or anything else you inspect it and make sure that it’s what the customer is asking at that time. Anything you buy for landscaping is MONEY and all of it is money because it’s expensive it’s not cheap everyone knows that. It’s known. So now we have to figure out how to fix it with more money from someone’s else’s mistake that didn’t bother to recheck what they were giving to us. What’s even better I bet at that time when we were working with Pete’s landscaping they must of thought these customers will NEVER KNOW the difference it won’t matter what we give them because they don’t know nothing about trees and bushes, they’re suckers we’ll just take their money. Talking to this person at the Pete’s landscaping about this, could helped the situation by saying this to me and ANY CUSTOMER. To have a tone of sympathy and kindness over the phone. “I’m so sorry for this problem I am but unfortunately we can’t replace trees that were sold to a customer longer than a year ago or longer, that’s our policy and rules. BUT we can try to see how to fix it by having someone coming over to inspect the situation, the backyard and the trees and that one specific tree that doesn’t match the others and to see if we can sell you another tree to fix landscaping and this problem and I just want to sincerely say how sorry we are that we sold you trees when you bought it from us way back then and that we messed up in not inspecting the products of trees to make sure they matched and they were all the same.” It’s also best to talk in a tone that is friendly and understanding, ….. even though you can’t fix the problem at least have a friendly personality kindness, patience and sympathy it sure does go a long way.

  Worst topsoil in Albuquerque. Not only did the female employee on the phone say that they had ‘just’ raised their prices for the spring rush, but the topsoil is absolute trash and it will take several years to improve it. Socks, BROKEN GLASS, garbage, sticks, sprouting weeds, and rocks were riddled throughout the trash I now have to deal with. Edit: how would you even find record of purchase with just my initials? Classic shady business practice, denying responsiblility, before they could even verify.

  Office staff helpful and friendly. Driver listened to where we preferred the load to be deposited.

  I’ve ordered from Pete’s twice now and they were friendly and professional from reception to delivery. My sister has also used them several times and I highly recommend their service.
