  I can't recommend this business enough! Carla is absolutely fantastic. She’s always so helpful, friendly, and goes out of her way to make sure you have a great experience. Every time I’ve interacted with her, she’s been nothing short of kind and professional. It’s clear that she truly cares about her customers, and it’s always a pleasure to work with her.

  Unit is the perfect size for my needs, was easy to rent online and affordable. Office staff was nice and made the move-in process easy!

  I have only rented for less than 6 months when my rent was increased by nearly 50% without notice. After realizing, the email associated with my account 'did not exist' and I could not get in. The associate I communicated with was kind and understanding, but could offer no explanation.

  Awesome experience! I've never dealt with storage units before, and I'm in a difficult situation in general, so I was pretty freaked out about calling places and getting this done. Like, I was dreading it. I was expecting it to be a "rough" experience, sort of like going to the mechanic. I was expecting harshness. But I couldn't have been more wrong! Extra space was the first place I called. I spoke to an agent and we guesstimated I may need a 10×10. So I went ahead and paid over the phone, sight unseen (I know, I know generally not a good idea but I seriously had so much anxiety I just wanted it done). So I went to this particular location, and I met the assistant store manager, Helena. What a phenomenal employee and person in general! The experience was the opposite of what I was expecting. Where I was anticipating harshness, I received compassion. Where I was expecting to be talked down to, I was heard. Helena is friendly, approachable, has a genuine smile, and seems like she actually wants to be there. She showed me the unit and gave me my keys. I decided to go back and look at my stuff where it is being stored now and realized, I probably would need more space. So I called Helena. No problem! She easily switched me from a 10x10 to a 10x15 (mind you this all happened the same day, in a matter of hours) it was a smooth transition. I came back to the location the next day and met the store manager, Carla. Carla was equally as incredible as Helena! She was super friendly. I felt comfortable, respected, and heard. Sometimes when you're in need of a storage unit, you're dealing with some sort of hardship. That's the truth in my case. That's what makes Helena's and Carla's customer care so phenomenal. And I said "customer care" and not "customer service" on purpose, because it did feel like they actually, well, cared. I already felt dejected and am "going through it" and the last thing I need would be for someone to make it worse by being rude or being flippant. And that did NOT happen at Extra Space on McLeod Rd.! Thank you Extra Space, and a million thank yous to Carla and Helena. If I hear of anyone needing help with storage, you can be SURE I will be recommending Extra Storage. 5 stars. Thank you!

  Everyone is in the game to make money, as long as the money is going to them, but if the need for above and beyond customer service doesn't yield money in their pockets, customer service is limited. When I sold my house, i moved my belongings into a moving pod and then I needed to transfer into my storage unit however was not allowed to have the moving pod placed in front of my rented storage unit, even though it would only be in place 2-4 hrs. I had to rent a trailer and hire additional people to unload the pod, load the trailer, drive to my storage unit and again unload the trailer. Money which could have been better used elsewhere.
