- BBBrian6 days ago1.0My rent has almost quadrupled since I started renting a unit from extra space less than a year ago. What was a very manageable payment of just over $100 quickly became almost $500. On top of that, I discovered on my move out day that mice had made their way into my unit which is ironic as theres 2 mouse traps directly outside of the unit I was renting. Be wary of introduction prices because they will definitely go up faster than you expect.

I also noticed mouse droppings in our unit after Extra space took over, due to getting rid of the outdoor mouse trap boxes. We were not happy with the immediate price increase and moved to a bigger storage unit for less the price elsewhere.
