I have my account on autopay, this last payment there was a $56 increase. Per my lease terms I am entitled to a one month notice of any changes, which I did not receive. I called the location and spoke to the site manager (Jessica), was told I was sent a notice via regular mail. I did not receive any notice at all. She said I MAY be able to get PARTIAL adjustment of the $56, but the credit will be applied to the next months bill and cannot be refunded to my card. Being blind sided by a $56/MONTH increase with no notice and the unwillingness to refund my card (not inability when they say they "can't". They just won't.) is insane, not to mention it is 4 weeks before Christmas and they will be taking an addition $112 from me. $56 is literally the price of a whole other uni. Others units my exact same size are being rented out for the same price it was as when I signed up. Unfortunately it wasn't long after getting my second unit with the company (my first I only had for about 2 months I believe) that I did some research and learned the Extra Space Storage was under a class action lawsuit for their price adjustments. I was hoping that type of issue would not be relevant to me, but I was naive and wrong. I DO NOT recommend this company. Long-term, they are thieves.
