  After yet another great experience with The Pool Company in River Vale, I realized that the review I left was on Yelp and not Google and also has me listed as being from a town I am nowhere near. Anyway, here's my original review: Just have to give some credit to The Pool Company. They have consistently earned five stars for outstanding service! Especially during the pandemic. When we put the pool in we started with one is those big chains for opening and closing but had nothing but drama, excuses, extra charges and completely inaccurate information about different equipment of ours. As a matter of fact, we started using the pool company a few years ago when the big chain told us our heater wasn't working correctly and we needed some expensive part that would take two weeks to get and then they would have to come back and install it (and they charged us for the service call even though they were there opening our pool and would charge us for another service visit). I explained that our heater was brand new and that this shouldn't be the case. I was desperate to open my pool before Memorial Day weekend and, based on the information they gave me, I wouldn't be able to open it until mid June and for a lot of money to boot. Called the pool company and they said they would do their best to get there by memorial day weekend which was only a few days away. Since I wasn't a regular customer yet, I wasn't very optimistic they would be able to do it. Not only did they squeeze us in, but they confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the heater and we just needed a mild adjustment. Since then, they have been opening and closing our pool and, unlike the big chain company who told us it was normal for our $5,000.00 pool cover (that we bought from that same chain) to sag after they "close" the pool and to have parts of the pool near the waterfall exposed, from the first time The Pool Company closed it, it has been 100% snug. Today I had questions on the care of the pool, so I stopped over there and got the items I needed at a nominal cost and got to interact once again with the professional and friendly staff. I don't normally write reviews, let alone long ones, but I am truly impressed with this company. I've only mentioned a few of the positive things about them--there are many more. Highly recommend this company!!
