The manager (or at least I think he was the manager) was not helpful at all and pushed us onto a younger lady working there. While she was very friendly and tried to help, it was very clear she did not receive much training for the “how to get started” discussion, which I presume is a majority of their interactions. We ended up standing in the chemicals aisle with the manual provided by our hot tub, and ultimately left once we figured out (on our own) that we should’ve tested the water before going into the store. Went a few minutes down 23 and received much better service and more guidance from a young kid. The only reason pool stores still exist is to offer live help for pools and spas—otherwise google and amazon could easily put them out of business.
